CSBM is pleased to announce that members of its leadership team were selected to give three presentations during the National Alliance for Public Charter School’s annual national conference in New Orleans, LA from June 21-24, 2015. Founder and CEO Raj Thakkar and Vice President and CIO Stephen B. Reid will present “FISCAL FORESIGHT: The Right Financial Ratios to Eliminate Your Blind Spots.” President and COO Karen Daniels and Raj Thakkar will jointly present “Understanding Financial Audits for Non-Financial Board and Staff Members.” Mr. Thakkar will also join other charter school sector leaders on a panel entitled “FRAUD!” to help school leaders, Trustees, advocates, authorizers, and funders become smarter about the causes and implications of fraudulent acts and to discuss avoidance strategies, early warning signs, and crisis management.
The National Charter Schools Conference is the largest gathering of the national charter school movement, attended by approximately 4,000 participants from around the country. Keynote speakers include Geoffrey Canada (President of Harlem Children’s Zone) and John White (Louisiana State Superintendent of Education).
