NEW YORK, NY, October 6, 2021 CSBM will be presenting at the 2021 NYCSA New York Charter Schools Conference.

The conference is held annually and attracts the New York community of academic leaders, operations leaders, board members as well as other stakeholders.  This year, the conference is held virtually as well as in-person.

CSBM joins other industry experts, thought leaders and charter school leaders in presenting during the three-day conference being held October 20-22, 2021.  The conference begins virtually on Wednesday.  Content takes place in-person on Thursday with a hybrid approach for the kick-off and progress into an entirely in-person event at the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott on Friday.

CSBM’s session, presented by Raj Thakkar, Founder & CEO of CSBM and Steve Reid, CGO of CSBM, takes place on Friday, October 22nd, 10:00-10:45 AM.

The session, called “fiscally seCURE: The Journey to Responsible Financial Management” focuses on common causes of and CUREs for financial mismanagement:

Do you understand and practice responsible financial management at your school or network? Is everyone operating from a common definition of what that looks like in action? Or does your journey feel like a never-ending game of “Whac-A-Mole”, where as soon as one challenge is handled, the next few pop right up?

If you’d like to calm your qualms, learn and understand the 10 CUREs for the corresponding common causes of financial mismanagement. Consider your relationship with money and whether it remains consistent or differs in the professional and personal setting. Reflect on your will power (and won’t power) to be disciplined, execute effectively and more importantly—know why—in order to finally be and feel fiscally seCURE.

Registrations for New York Charter Schools Conference close on October 8th.
